The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
